singing to you for a CAUSE”

                                               Mr. Acoustic Paolo Santos and Pido with Take 1 will be staging a show entitled “ECHO of LOVE – singing to you for a CAUSE” on January 23, 2004 friday at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas,Pasig City organized by the members of TAU MU SIGMA PHI.    

Armed with a fistful of mellow originals and a tasteful repertoire of cover tunes, Paolo Santos is recognized for spearheading the new wave of acoustic performers gently crashing over the live venue and recording scene. He has redefined the Philippine music scene, defying odds by releasing best-selling independent productions with major label support such as the album "Playlist" (Warner) and the live concert video "Acoustic Night Out" (Viva Video). His singles include the original "Coffee Cup" and a cover of "Moonlight Over Paris".  

Pido with Take One's selection of music is a mixture of alternative music to pop - America, Kenny Loggins, James Taylor, Earth Wind and Fire, Prince, Robert Palmer and Janet Jackson. Band members include Pido Lalimarmo-lead guitarist and male vocalist, Jen Panuncio-female vocalist, Benjie Ijiran-drummer, Marlowe Mata-bassist, Leevon Cailao-second guitarist and Marc Santos-keyboardist. The group was also nominated during the 8th Katha awards in 2002 for the category BEST POP VOCAL PERFORMANCE BY A DUO OR GROUP.  

Proceeds of the event will go to the St. Dominic’s Clinic under the St. Dominic Development Center run by the Dominican Sisters of UST. It will also serve as a financial support for Tau Mu's future medical and surgical missions throughout the year, especially during the summer months of April and May.
