imageIn the year 1946, seventy years ago, Tau Mu Sigma Phi was founded. That year has been and will forever be remembered and cherished by alumni, student and future brods.

As I pondered on this fact, I thought to myself: How will this year be remembered? Seventy years from now, what will future brods think of the year 2016?

Thanksgiving Mass Starts Off 70th Year Celebrations

A thanksgiving mass at the Santissimo Rosario Parish Church held on January 5, 2016 at five in the afternoon signaled the commencement of Tau Mu Sigma Phi’s year long festivities as it turns 70 years this year.


The mass was attended by around 40-50 Tauans, both from the alumni ranks spearheaded by Tauan Alumni Organization(TAO) President Bro. Dr. Elvis Cruz Llarena, Taon VI and the student brods led by incoming Most Exalted Brother Angelo de Jesus Cruz, Tauan Inferno. Continue reading

imageThe upcoming 70th year lecture series, Transcending Mainstream Sciences for Physicians, is scheduled on January 11, 2016 from 8AM until 12noon at the CME Auditorium, St. Martin de Porres Building at the sprawling UST complex in Manila.

The plenary lecture is named after Bro. Dr. Hector Crescini De Los Santos, ΤΜΣΦ 1948, an exemplary Tauan with very impressive credentials.

Dr. De Los Santos was the fraternity’s first Brother Secretary in 1946 when Tau Mu Sigma Phi, the Thomasian Medical Students’ Fraternity was founded and it’s second Most Exalted Brother the following year. Continue reading
